Shooting Stars: Ages 13-18

Join MTA’s Shooting Stars in our Fall Semester production of “LEGALLY BLONDE The Musical!” This Broadway-style show is set in a state-of-the-art 300-seat theater with full sets and costumes.

A fabulously fun award-winning Broadway musical based on the adored movie of the same name, Legally Blonde the Musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams to attend the prestigious Harvard Law School. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

Auditions begin Thursday, August 7th, 2025, from 6:15 to 9:30 pm. Auditions continue on Saturday, August 9th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a scheduled Lunch Break from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Please note: ALL of those auditioning must plan on attending BOTH auditions for the full duration in order to enhance your chances of being

considered for a possible Leading Role, which will be selected SOLELY at the discretion of the auditioning staff in the end. Please bring a Snack or Lunch to eat at the Saturday Auditions, or you may leave the Studio for Lunch with Parental Permission.

Rehearsals begin on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, for the full cast. Rehearsals will occur every Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm for FULL CAST and every Thursday from 6:15 to 9:30 pm for smaller scenes and groups as called. You must be available to be scheduled for both days of rehearsal if needed. A more detailed Final Rehearsal Schedule will be provided after the show is cast.

TECH WEEK – November 2nd-5th, 2025, 5 pm-9:30 pm at the Huntington Beach Central Library Theater.

4 PERFORMANCES – November 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7:00 pm and November 9th at 2:00pm at the Huntington Beach Central Library Theater.
