Shooting Stars: Ages 13-18

Join MTA’s Shooting Stars in our Spring Semester production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!”

Prepare for a spelling bee like no other! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee brings a cast of lovable misfits, heartwarming tales, and laugh-out-loud moments to the stage. It’s a fast-paced, audience-interactive delight that proves spelling can be a wild, unforgettable experience!

Auditions are Thursday, January 8th, 2026, from 6:15 to 9:30 pm. Auditions continue on Saturday, January 10th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a scheduled Lunch Break from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Please note: ALL of those auditioning must plan on attending BOTH auditions for the full duration in order to enhance your chances of being considered for a possible Leading Role, which will be selected SOLELY at the discretion of the auditioning staff. Please bring a Snack or Lunch to eat at the Saturday Auditions, or you may leave the Studio for Lunch with Parental Permission.

Rehearsals begin on Thursday, January 15th, for the full cast. Rehearsals will occur every Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm for FULL CAST and every Thursday from 6:15 to 9:30 pm for smaller scenes and groups as called. You must be available to be scheduled for both days of rehearsal if needed. A detailed Final Rehearsal Schedule will be provided after the show is cast.

TECH WEEK – June 7th – June 10, 2026, from 5 pm-9:30 pm.

4 PERFORMANCES – June 11th, 12th and 13th at 7:00 pm and June 14th at 2:00pm.
