Rising Stars: Ages 7-13

Join MTA’s Rising Stars in our Fall Semester production of the delightful musical “ANNIE JR.” This Broadway-style show is set in a state-of-the-art 300-seat theater with full sets and costumes.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, beloved and irrepressible comic strip heroine Little Orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and loving family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a scruffy mutt named Sandy.

AUDITIONS will occur both Monday AND Wednesday August 11th and 13th, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Please note: ALL of those auditioning must plan on attending BOTH auditions for the full duration in order to enhance your chances of

being considered for a possible Leading Role, which will be selected SOLELY at the discretion of the auditioning staff in the end. Please bring a Snack or Light Dinner to the auditions.

Regular Rehearsals begin on Monday, August 18th, 2025, for FULL CAST. REHEARSALS will occur every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm for FULL CAST and every Monday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm for smaller scenes and groups as called. You must be available to be scheduled both days of rehearsal if needed. A more detailed Final Rehearsal Schedule will be provided after the show is cast.

TECH WEEK – November 10th –13th, 2025, 4 pm – 8 pm at the Huntington Beach Central Library Theater.

4 PERFORMANCES – November 14th at 7:00 pm, November 15th at 2:00pm and 7:00 pm, and November 16th at 2:00 pm at the Huntington Beach Central Library Theater.
