Rising Stars – Alice in Wonderland (Payments)

The story of “Alice in Wonderland” has inspired many numerous film, television, and stage adaptations over the years, and we are thrilled to be presenting an original musical version of the play, with music and lyrics by the Rose Center Theater’s own Managing and Artistic Director Tim Nelson. For this production, MTA has joined forces with Mr. Nelson to bring to life a classic story with new innovations for all to see and enjoy! The show is exciting and fresh, and provides ample opportunity for all of our young 10 to 14-year-old cast members to shine on stage, strutting their talents for all to appreciate!

Based not-so-loosely upon the 1865 children’s fantasy novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” as well as the subsequent follow-up publication “Through the Looking Glass,” the show will feature all of the famous “Alice” characters that you have come to recognize and love from the books..

“Wonderland” is a marvelous imaginary place that is found in Alice’s mind, a land ruled by nonsense and contradictions. Let yourself become “curiouser and curiouser” as you follow Alice and her Cat Dinah down the Rabbit Hole. Remember, “We’re all a little Mad here!”

REHEARSALS will occur every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm for FULL CAST and every Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm for smaller scenes and groups as needed.  You must be available to be scheduled both days of rehearsal.  A more detailed Rehearsal Schedule will be provided after the show is cast.

AUDITIONS:

Wednesday, February 9^th        4:00 to 8:00 pm
Friday, February 11^th                4:00 to 8:00 pm

[Please note:  ALL of those auditioning must plan on attending BOTH auditions for the full duration in order to be considered for a Leading Role.  There are MANY Roles available in this Production.  Please bring a Snack or Light Dinner to the auditions.]

Regular Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, February 16^th, 2022.

TECH WEEK: 4:00 to 9:00 pm  June 12^th-15^th, 2022 at Westminster’s Rose Center Theater.
