Nell Hinshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund Donations

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my mom, Nell Hinshaw, who was a long time supporter of MTA.  Both she and my father enjoyed musical theater, often playing their favorite show albums on Sunday mornings as my mom cooked brunch and we kids sang along.  It was to their great delight that our family discovered MTA and that in their senior years they were able to watch their grandchildren on the stage in Summer on Broadway and nearly forty different productions.

During our family’s years of involvement at MTA, it has not gone unnoticed that the organization has often wished it had a dedicated, robust scholarship fund to provide children in challenging financial positions participation in the MTA programs.  Given my mother’s long support of MTA and the current need for scholarship funds, my siblings and I have established, with the help of MTA, The Nell Hinshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund to be used to provide students with financial need access to the MTA programs. It is our sincerest wish that friends, alumni, and MTA families support her passion my making donations to the scholarship fund in her memory.
