Music Theory for Singers
$225.00
Do you hate having to wait for an accompanist to play a song, just so you can hear how it goes? Do you live in mortal fear of being asked to sight read? Do you wish you were better at holding those harmonies in choral rehearsal and wish you could better rehearse the music on your own at home? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you can now become the empowered musician you were born to be in this exciting new course. Newly arrived from NYC, instructor Katherine Robinson will teach you the fundamentals of Music Theory, as it applies to the singer’s needs. You will be strengthening your ear for harmonies, learning to plunk out the melody and chords of a new song on the piano, and learning the basics of sight singing, for those inopportune moments when there is no keyboard or piano available to assist you. No previous experience is necessary to be successful in this class that no singer should miss!
Open to students 10-18.
