Mastering Music Theory – The MTA Way!
In this exciting brand new skill-enhancing class, the well-rounded and serious Musical Theatre Performer will learn just how essential and beneficial it is to gain a better understanding and command of the Fundamentals of Music, while still putting the FUN into “Fundamentals!” The five-week course will be divided into three parts that include Music Appreciation, Music Theory, and Music Performance. Students will be exposed to many different types of Music, and learn the merits of each, while learning the basics of music theory simultaneously. And finally, it will all be synthesized in an acapella performance with three to six harmonic parts in a song of choice from students, which they will help to arrange themselves guided by our wonderfully talented and accomplished MTA Music Teacher, Taylor Stephenson. If interest demands it, this class will be continued in the Fall to continue the Learning, so get in now on the Ground Level of this new Course!
