Below are the classes and programs for the Spring 2020 season!
Twinkle Stars
Our Twinkle Stars, ages 6-7, continue their education on the fundamentals of dance and voice as the class works to develop more elements of musicality and movement for the next level.
Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesdays, beginning March 17th, from 3:10 – 4:00pm. There will be no class on April 7th or June 16th.

The Opening Act
Welcome to THE OPENING ACT! Ages 8 and up. Miss Holly is calling on all singers, dancers, musicians, and those with hidden talents! Cast members who enroll for this performance based class will be the first act for this season’s Brite Star’s production!
Rehearsals begin March 16, 2020, and run Mondays from 4:00pm-5:30pm.
There will be no class on April 6th, May 25th and June 15th.
Tech and Show week:
June 17th and 18th from 3:00-5:30pm

Brite Stars
Join our Brite Stars Cast (Ages 8-11) as we perform Seussical Jr! Set in a Broadway-style show, in a state-of-the-art 400 seat theater with full sets and costumes!
Auditioning Workshops will be held at MTA Studios on Monday, February 10th. There will be three sessions to choose from: 3-3:50pm, 4-4:50pm and 5-5:50pm.
Registration Day and Auditions Begin on Tuesday, February 11th, from 4:00-7:00pm (all boys until 7:30) with Parent Meeting from 4:00-4:30pm. Auditions continue on Thursday, February 13th from 4:00-6:00pm. Final callbacks TBD.
There will be no class on Tuesday, February 25th.
Full cast call Thursday, February 27th from 4:00-6:00pm.
There will be no class on Tuesday, April 7th.
Tech and Show week starts Saturday June 13th, 1:30-6:00pm at MTA (Dress Rehearsal) Monday-Friday of that week will be from 4:00-8:15pm at The Rose Center Theatre in Westminster. Saturday (final show day) call time is 11:30.

Join the Rising Stars, ages 10-13, in this semester’s production of Bye Bye Birdie!! This Broadway-style show is set in a state-of-the-art 400 seat theater with full sets and costumes.
Audition dates for this show will be on Wednesday and Friday, February 12th and 14th, from 4:00-8:00pm each day.
Tech week begins Monday, June 22nd.

Join MTA’s Shooting Stars, ages 13-18, in this semester’s production of Pajama Game! This Broadway-style show is set in a state-of-the-art 400 seat theater with full sets and costumes.
Audition dates for this season will be on Monday, February 10th and Thursday, February 13th, from 6:15 to 9:45pm.
Classes for the season are Mondays and Thursdays as well.

The Principles of Acting
This semester we will be working on both contemporary and classical pieces and continuing our journey of the principles and foundations of acting.
MTA resident acting coach Deborah Mathews will teach how to become more present in your characters wants and needs.
12-Week Course meeting on Saturdays from 10:00am – 1:00 pm.
Classes begin on February 29, 2020.

Let's Learn Improv!
This 5 week course will cover the fundamentals of improv comedy; beginning with basic rules and functions of improv, different exercises, in depth workshops, and ending with dabbling into the basics of performance. We meet for an hour and half each week on Saturdays. beginning on 3/7/2020 and ending on 4/25/2020. There are classes for ages 9-12, and 13-18.
This class is taught by Joey Busch, who performs weekly with Improv Shmimprov in Fullerton and bi-monthly with Fancy Hobo Improv at Stagedoor Rep and The Amazing Comedy Theater. He has also taught improv at Creative Kids Playhouse, Mater Dei High School, McCoy Rigby, and Diamond Bar High School.
