Sharon Frazier

As a member of the board, Sharon provides input and assistance in establishing objectives and direction that help the organization move forward in their mission. As someone who works in the arts communities in Orange and Los Angeles to help raise awareness of the organization’s outstanding work, Sharon has seen how valuable and unique the work MTA is in cultivating the talent and character of the students whom they teach. She joined the staff of MTA in 2004 as a vocal director and teacher for the younger student’s musical productions. Sharon joined the board of directors in 2007 to help build the communication to the community of the wonderful impact the academy was having on the students in the programs.

Sharon has been teaching music to children since 1992 and has been a vocal director for The Depot in La Habra, Musical Theatre Academy of Orange County, Buena Park Youth Theater, Trilogy Playhouse, and Currie Middle School in Tustin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and earned her teaching credentials from Azusa Pacific University. Sharon also holds a Master of Arts degree in School administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California. In addition to her work with MTA, Sharon is a teacher for the Tustin Unified School District. As a performer, Sharon has toured nationally and internationally in various vocal ensembles and has recorded with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also performed in many theaters and public venues across California including the Disneyland theme park.
